Experienced network field engineers should attend this course in order to complete their Cisco training who have working knowledge on how to implement layer 2 and layer 3 services, as well as how to use Cisco IOS as well as Cisco Catalyst switching platforms.
This course will complete the Cisco training for the experienced network field engineers, teaching them how to further their career by learning all the other components of Cisco training, including features of the Nexus 7010 Chassis, the architecture of NX-OS system, connectivity of the Cisco management processor and learn how to configure features like the call home feature, AAA and RBAC. In addition, this course will also provide the attendee the knowledge to use configurations checkpoints and rollbacks, layer 2 and layer 3 as well as supervisory recovery. The network engineer will also learn valuable features such as how to configure traffic integrity features, control pane protection and LinkSec encryption.
In addition to the previous features, the attendee will also gain the knowledge to advance their career by learning the details of using SPAN and ethernizer to monitor traffic to websites and phone lines, showing the company how well the systems are working in order to tailor the system to the traffic the company needs.
The interactive lab exercises help the attendee to have actual hands on training in all aspects of the course. The attendee must bring a laptop with Windows Vista or older, and it must have the ability to install new Active X components as well, in order to complete the remote interactive lab exercises. These labs will offer the attendee additional knowledge on the Nexus 7000 and the Nexus 5000 with extensive training specifically on Managing system configuration, layer 2 switching, redundancy protocols, configuring routing protocols, VDC and VRF interoperation as well as security and troubleshooting on the Nexus control plane. Other interactive remote labs include analyzing the FCoE packet traces, configuring the Nexus 5000 for administrative access and FCoE connectivity, as well as configuring the Nexus 5000 in NPV mode and traffic and engineering. This course also covers the material required to configure the Nexus 2000 as a remote line card, configure the Nexus 2000 with VPC and how to configure and monitor the various security features of the Nexus system. The other lab work includes how to troubleshoot the FCoE issues on the Nexus 5000 switch.
This course will advance the engineer in all aspects of the Nexus 5000 and the Nexus 7000 systems, and complete the Cisco training for their profession. Upon successful completion of this course, the engineer will be able to advance their career by providing proof that the course was completed, verifying their knowledge of the systems. This course includes labs which enhance the learning experience by giving the attendee hands on training, ensuring both the attendee and the company the attendee has successfully learned all of the information offered. When using hands on training, in conjunction with the classroom experience, the information given will be better processed by the attendee, allowing them to better understand the extensive knowledge provided in the class. This will create an atmosphere where both the student and the teacher are successful in the course. The knowledge received by the attendee will positively affect the working environment because the attendee will be able to successfully implement all the information on the systems into the workplace.

The instructor was the best teacher I have ever had at any level. I learned more in the last 7 days than I did studying on my own for the past 6 months. The material was presented in a way that was easy for everyone to understand. He by far had the most knowledge of anyone I have ever met in the subject and I hope to learn more from him in the future.

One of the most intelligent and well-spoken instructors I have ever had the privilege to work with. His in depth knowledge of the 10 domains in CISSP surpassed my expectations as well as the expectations of my classmates. His teaching style kept the otherwise dry information very memorable and exciting. I would HIGHLY recommend this course to my peers.

Fantastic instructor! Really knew the material, and was adept at communicating in an understandable manner to those without an IT background. I couldn't ask for a more genuine, concerned instructor who had her students successful learning as the main motivator for everything she did. Simply superb!

Instructor did a fantastic job of delivering a large set of very dense course material cogently to the class. She obviously had the material down cold and could easily break down elements of the different knowledge domains in clear explanations.
- Byron Caswell
The instructor was very knowledgeable about the pen testing and ethical hacking. He was great in delivering the lectures, lab and was very helpful in having us complete the capture the flag exercises. In addition, he provided valuable insight about security in general and pen testing in particular.

Incredible instructor. The coursework covered 300 topics in 10 domains, and he was able to speak intelligently on all of them. Better, his teaching style was relaxed and informal, which lessened the feelings of impending doom about the exam we were about to undertake. He knew exactly which sections of the material to emphasize, when we needed a break, and in many cases was speaking ahead of the slides (he knew exactly what was coming up before turning the slides). Rare gem.

Excellent instructor. One of the best I have had in over 27 years in the IT business. Genuinely cared about the students understanding the subject material and their success in passing the exam. She taught how to think and reason to pass the test. That is something not found in any text book.
