Intense School has teamed up with Microsoft and the authors of the award-winning book Writing Secure Code to develop our Writing Secure Code Boot Camp. This comprehensive 5-day course is designed to educate students on the skills necessary to develop and deploy security as a fundamental element of the entire application development process.
The objective of our Writing Secure Code Boot Camp (now an official part of the Microsoft Trustworthy Computing Initiative) is to encourage developers to take security seriously and to acquire and maintain secure development practices throughout their work.

Students will sharpen skills and gain experience in applying secure design and implementation principles through repeated building, testing and securing of application code. At the end of the five-day course, students are given the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test in a Mega-Lab workshop, securing and testing applications through a progression of "challenge scenarios" alternating assignments as "attackers" and "defenders" of applications.
Application Development teams and Information Security leaders need to be proactive in developing more secure code; this program is an exciting and effective approach toward instilling best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Prerequisites
Prior to enrolling in Intense School's Writing Secure Code Boot Camp, students should have a background in application development within one of the following guidelines:
- Development experience with C++
- Development experience with C#
- Experience building Microsoft Windows or Web applications using the .NET Framework
