Hands-on Labs with in-classroom equipment:
It is important to understand that Intense School’s VMware training is the most hands-on approach available; at least 60% of the class time is spent directly DOING; this allows for a better experience, more retention, and REAL skills development.  All of the hardware is present in the class itself, not located somewhere else, requiring you to remotely connect using unreliable hotel conference room bandwidth.  We provide you direct experience from the ground up on real hardware that is all on the VMware Hardware Compatibility list.  This is proven to increase your learning experience, reduce problems in class.  If you are looking for a VMware lecture, look elsewhere; this is Real Hands-on learning.

Real VMware and Virtualization Expert Instructors:
When you are looking for technical training, it is important to investigate who will be leading the class, and verify that they have real experience.  Our instructors spend up to 50% of their time deep in consulting projects for medium to large enterprises, and have documented experience.

Cool Tools—Going Way Beyond any typical VMware Training:
Not only are you looking at VMware’s standard product set, we have you work with a wide range of 3rd party tools that are absolutely essential for today’s virtualiztion experts.  These include:
• Veeam
• VMFS to VMFS volumes copy tools
• NewSID
• Platespin’s PowerConvertor and PowerRecon
• ESXRanger Backup solutions
• vmkfstools and vmware-cmd
• and Plenty more (see details below)

Aggressively up-to-date materials:
Our latest version of the course, Courseware release date of January 31, 2008, is based on all the latest versions of VMware and all the related tools we bring into the class.  Labs and course materials have all been updated to ESX Server 3.5 and Virtual Center 2.5.  Both of these versions were only released to the manufacturers (RTM) as of December 11th, 2007.  Our VMware Expert Team worked hard over the holidays and beyond to completely update and test all labs.  We take pride in our materials as well—they become an essential virtualization expert’s resource, loaded with references and appendices.

Intense School’s Commitment to a Security-enhanced course:
At Intense School, we take pride in providing training that provides extra value in terms of leveraging our Field Experience in providing Security Solutions and Services to our customers. That’s why our VMware Boot Camp includes superior instruction on Hack-proofing your Virtualized enterprise.

Here’s what the students have access to:
Each student will setup their own ESX Server, License Server, VirtualCenter Server, and use a variety of tools to support the VMware Enterprise. This course offers students to build, support, and troubleshoot their own server. The ESX server sits in class with the student and is not virtual. In other words students have a real physical server to install and configure. We do not use Citrix to run a class with ESX. This is mobile training and we can run it anywhere.
This course covers content from four courses that VMware offers. It’s all here and combined into one class that covers installing, supporting, and troubleshooting a VMware Enterprise Environment. This customized courseware covers content from VMware's courses:

VMware I3 - What's New
VMware I3 - Install and Configure
VMware I3 - Deploy, Secure, and Analyze
VMware I3 - P2V Assistant (converter)
VMware I3 – Fast Track

We also take a look at 3rd Party tools to help assist in deployment and management of a Virtual Infrastructure. Each student will setup their own ESX Server, License Server, VirtualCenter Server, and use a variety of tools to support the VMware Enterprise. This course provides students the opportunity to build, support, and troubleshoot their own server. Each student has a physical ESX server sitting right next to them in class. No virtual training. In other words students have a real physical server to install and configure.
